Chopin Études Op. 25: All 12 Studies

“12 Études, Op. 25” is a work by Frédéric Chopin (1810–1849) with 12 pieces, difficulty 8–10/10. A second set of twelve studies, more varied in color and texture than the first: thirds, sixths, octaves and polyrhythms in the service of poetry. 11 of them have a playable score in Estudio de Piano, with the microphone or MIDI.

How to practice it

  1. Work on the technical problem out of context (for example, thirds as a scale) and then go back to the piece.
  2. Rest your hand often; quality matters more than the number of repetitions.
  3. Listen to the color: pedaling and voice balance are part of the technique.
