Estudio de Piano Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026 (Android release)
Estudio de Piano is an app for practicing piano on iPhone, iPad and Android. This page explains, plainly, what the app does with your data. The short version: your music and your progress never leave your device. Since version 1.1, the free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and that does mean Google may process some device data, as explained below. The “Estudio de Piano Pro” purchase removes the ads.
What never leaves your device
- Microphone. If you choose to practice with the microphone, the sound is analyzed in real time on your device to recognize the notes you play. The audio is not recorded to files or sent anywhere. The optional “Calibrate with my piano” calibration stores short snippets of each key in the app’s private storage, only on your device, and you can delete them from Settings.
- Bluetooth and MIDI. Used only to connect your MIDI keyboard.
- Your progress. Takes, scores and settings are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, they are deleted with it.
- No accounts and no server of our own. There is no sign-up or log-in, and the app does not contact any Estudio de Piano server: the catalog of works ships inside the app itself. We do not collect your name, your email or any identifier of yours.
Advertising
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. The paid version (“Estudio de Piano Pro”) shows none and, with it, the app does not request ads, advertising consent or permission to track you.
To serve those ads, Google may collect and process data from your device, including the advertising identifier (if you allow it), usage data and interactions with the ads, an approximate location derived from your connection, and diagnostic data from the SDK itself. Google acts as the controller of that processing; how it works is described in Google’s privacy policy and in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not receive that data.
There are never ads while you practice. The music stand (score, keyboard and transport) carries no ads, and no full-screen ad appears while the exercise is playing, during the count-in, during a take or with the microphone open.
| Format | Where and when |
|---|---|
| Banner | Fixed at the bottom of Library, Progress and Settings. Never on the music stand or on the home screen. |
| Full screen (interstitial) | At natural breaks: when closing the report for a section or when leaving the music stand. At most one every four minutes, and never in the first minute and a half after opening the app. |
| Full screen (app open) | When returning to the app after some time away, only if the ad was already loaded. Never on a cold start, never when returning straight to the music stand, and never when returning from a system dialog, the purchase or another ad. |
Your consent
- Tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency). The app will ask your permission to track your activity with Apple’s dialog, never during the first-time introduction or while you practice. You can say no: ads will still be shown, but not personalized. You can change it at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On Android. There is no tracking dialog: Google uses the device’s advertising ID. You can delete it or turn off personalization in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads, depending on the phone).
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. Before any ad is requested you will see Google’s consent form (“User Messaging Platform”). If there is not enough consent, the app does not request ads. You can reopen that form at any time from Settings → Privacy and ads → Ad privacy options.
Purchases
“Estudio de Piano Pro” is a one-time purchase that removes the ads. It is not a subscription and does not renew; all of the app’s content is free with or without it. Payment is handled by Apple (on iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (on Android) from start to finish: we never see or store your card details. The app only checks with the store whether your account owns the purchase, so as not to show you ads, and you can recover it on another device with “Restore purchases” in Settings.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. We do not collect anyone’s data; ads are served by Google under its own policies, and anyone who does not want ads can use Estudio de Piano Pro.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will say so here along with the date of the update.
